Like any child of the 90s, my love for the written word most likely began with rapid consumption of a fantastical world that has become quite socially acceptable to indulge in - Hogwarts. A magical boarding school positioned to pit good against evil, what was not to like?
Despite consistently ingesting content in this domain over the past two decades, I never fancied myself a writer. I attended a business school, majored in Finance and Economics, and pursued an investment career. My love for fantasy flourished, but mainly under the covers, illuminated only by the proverbial flashlight.
That is, until 2020. Increased free time and blurred lines between work and home inspired a serendipitous act. I wrote a novel. It may have been the first time in my life I accomplished something only for the utter joy found in the effort exerted. While editing has been grueling and ongoing, the experience inspired me to show up as a more complete version of myself. And thus, The Novel Investor was born.
The Novel Investor is a place where fantasy lovers, entrepreneurs, and capital allocators can bond over a common theme: imagination. I'll share my thoughts on life, investing, and technology – all of which can be found on my Substack.
When I'm not focused on investing or writing, you can usually find me outdoors – skiing, backpacking, or surfing.
